Pre-service check
- Test if bike starts and runs
- Check wear & tear items
- Check for damage and faults
- Quote repair of damage, faults and wear & tear items
Engine
- Change Oil
- Replace Oil Filter (if necessary)
- Replace oil with high quality, recommended oil.
- Check oil level and vehicle for oil leakage
- Replace sump washer
Final drive
- Clean, lube and Adjust Chain
- Check chain condition
- Check condition of drive sprockets
Brakes
- Inspect condition of front and rear brake pads
- Flush and change brake fluid with manufacturers recommended brake fluid
- Inspect condition of brake lines
- Inspect brake reservoirs for leakage
- Check front and rear brake disc condition
- Check front and rear brake operation
Battery
- Check positive and negative terminals are secure
- Check charge rate
Electronic Functions
- Check operation of front and rear switches
- Check dash neutral light is operational
- Check operation of switch block kill switch
Operation Controls
- Check and adjust throttle freeplay
- Check and adjust clutch freeplay
- Lubricate all pivot points
Cooling System - (if applicable to the bike)
- Flush, bleed and replace coolant system
- Check radiator coolant level and condition
- Check overflow level and condition
Air Filter
- Clean air filter and airbox,
- Replace air filter (if necessary)
Spark Plug
- Replace Spark Plug
Valve Clearance
- Check valve clearances
- Adjust valve clearances – only if required
- Check cam chain condition
Tyres
- Check condition of front and rear tyres.
- Adjust front and rear tyre pressure to manufacturers recommendations.
Wheels and Suspension
- Check front and rear wheel bearings for bearing wear
- Check steering stem bearings for bearing wear
- Check swingarm / linkage bearings for play
- Inspect rear shock absorber operation, condition and check for oil leaks
- Inspect operation of front forks / oil leaks
- Check / tighten spokes
Test Ride
- Check idle speed
- Check operation of clutch
- Check smoothness of changing gears
- Check for oil and coolant leaks after test ride
- Check for unusual noises
Bike Presentation
- Bolt check the bike
- Wash bike (if required)
- Ensure bike is presentable for release
